What this person is trying to say is that you have to keep going towards the thing you want and you have to fight for it. If you want something real bad you have to fight for it whether it’s a person, place, or thing. Either way you have to keep your eyes on it and take care of that one thing you want and if you try hard enough than you might just get what you want. Also this means that you have to keep going for it. if you give up you wont be able to have/accomplish. Also that you should stay on that task until you have what you always wanted from it and get all the benefits of it. One example of "keeping your eyes on the prize" is to get a college diploma. this is a very good prize, this will allow you to get into good paying jobs.
