It doesn't matter how smart or dumb you are characteristics always come first. Let’s say you are a straight A student but you are a bully. Let’s say you are dumb but you are nice, gentle, and kind. So yes a characteristic does come before intellects but don’t forget characteristics won’t get you into college though. It’s good to have a good personality but it’s better to have good grades and personality too. It isn't to hard to improve both. All you have to do is work on both and just improve them. As time passes and as you keep doing the right things eventually you'll get used to it and you will become what you were working on.
